Graphic Design Co-op 2016
Under the direction of a Brand Design Manager, our Brand Design Interns work collaboratively with Brand teams in the execution of design concepts that communicate approved brand objectives, Including; line looks, logos, icons, patterns and trend studies.
We are hiring several graphic design interns to work on our Brand Design teams like NERF, Hasbro Gaming, Transformers, Marvel, Preschool, My Little Pony and many more.
In addition, candidate may be required to produce a concept design project with other students from various departments.
Responsibilities
• Assist Brand teams with applications of graphic design principles to the creation of branding assets using sophisticated design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat). Prepare design files for both electronic and print use.
• Participate and contribute in brainstorm sessions and consistently apply on-trend design insight for graphic styling, fashion, lifestyle and competitive graphics.
• Utilize internal resources and time management skills to independently manage projects to meet deadlines.
• Exposed to opportunities to build confidence and knowledge when interacting with internal/external partners and presenting design solutions.
• Interest in lifestyle and product photography, attend shoots as needed.
• Partner with product design, marketing, packaging production and licensing partners.
Qualifications
• Enrolled in a B.F.A. program studying Graphic Design, Illustration or Fine Arts
• Excellent oral, written and visual communication skills
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Demonstrated design skills with respect to design trends and product packaging preferred
• Graphic design projects in a toy, juvenile product or related consumer industry preferred
Candidates must submit an online portfolio to be considered for Hasbro’s Design Intern program. Please include graphic design samples to help us understand your visualization process. Should have a portfolio of high-quality and diverse work showing a variety of styles when creating experiences, narrative, worlds and characters.
Qualifications for Intern program:
Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program, 2016 graduates are not eligible
Must be able to work full time from September 2016 - December 16, 2016
Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation (FREE Parking). Hasbro headquarters in Pawtucket, RI is 1.3 mi from the South Attleboro, MA commuter rail station and we offer shuttle service.
Interviews will be offered in July via SKYPE, on campus or in person in Pawtucket, RI.
